We have many volunteer opportunities available from helping us at fundraising events to Eco Fair setup and support. Your volunteer efforts are essential for the success of the festival. Review the volunteer shifts below and sign up.
Volunteer 2018 eco Fair - April 22
9:00AM - 11:00AM - Setup Help - You’ll be a BIG help!!
Help us get the Eco Fair started! Tasks include setting up tables and chairs, helping vendors unload and set up their booths, and other general setup activities.
11:00AM - 4:00PM - General Eco Fair Volunteer Options
2 hour shifts (or longer if you’re comfortable)
Info Table - Hang out at the Info Table to answer attendees’ questions
Raffle Support - Promote & assist with getting folks signed up for raffles
Zero Waste Team - help ensure that waste is properly supported between recyclables, compost, and landfill
Chalk Art Project & Kid Zone Activities - with help from Little Planets, Rivanna Master Naturalists and More!
5:00PM - 6:30PM - Break down - You’ll be a SUPER BIG help!!
Help us clean up after the event by organizing the tables and chairs for pickup, helping vendors pack up and load their cars, and general clean up.

Join the Planning Committee
If you are interested in becoming part of the Earth Week planning committee, please come meet us! Email the executive director to be kept in the loop. Come out to a meeting, and then help us put together next year’s Eco-Fair! Earth Week is organized primarily by volunteers, many of whom are active environmentally-oriented community members, business owners, students, retirees, and…YOU!

Work along side the Earth Week Eco Fair Executive Director and the Planning Committee to make the festival a success with a spring internship.
