* 8th Annual Children's Bicycle Rodeo! - At the Eco-Fair
1pm-3pm April 18th, next to the Eco-Fair
Bring your kids and their bikes for free, hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety. A fun event for folks 6-12 years of age. Free bike helmets and prizes for participants. Sponsored by the Alliance for Community Choice in Transportation (ACCT) and the Charlottesville Police Department.
The Children’s Bicycle Rodeo is from 1-3 PM in the Lexis Nexis parking deck, behind the Pavilion, across from Bob's Wheel Alignment on 701 Water St. One can also access the Lexis Nexis property from the Pavilion crossing under bridge. Come on out, look for signs, and if you need, someone will direct you.

Harvey Wasserman is a longtime anti-nuclear and political activist. In 1973-4, Harvey helped found the grassroots movement against nuclear power in the United States, and helped coin the phrase "No Nukes." He is senior advisor to Greenpeace USA and the Nuclear Information & Resource Service.
Wassermann is author or co-author of a dozen books, including SOLARTOPIA! OUR GREEN- POWERED EARTH, A.D. 2030, with a forward by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
